Slavonski Brod is a small Croatian city situated on the border with Bosnia. Separated only by the river Sava, the two countries are still healing from the war that ended less than two decades ago. I am reflecting on the effects that the war has had on the young people and trying to see the potential in a nation that is crying out for a sense of worth. I continue to go back each summer to work as a missionary and photograph what I experience. This project is ongoing and I may never finish it.
